The Team
Revd Phil Williams leads the team at St Paul’s. He is married to Charlotte and they have two daughters.
After growing up on the borders of East London and Essex and following 10 years of involvement with mission movements and church plants, Phil joined the team at HTB and Alpha in 2008, becoming Creative Director. While at HTB he trained for ordination with St Mellitus College and in 2014 returned to East London to lead a church plant into Christ Church Spitalfields.
Phil was appointed as Rector of St Paul’s Shadwell in 2016. He is also licensed Priest-in-Charge of Poplar Parish and serves as Area Dean of Tower Hamlets.
Alongside Phil and Charlotte we have an amazing bunch of staff, students, interns, ordinands (trainee-vicars) and super-volunteers. Pictured below, they meet together every Tuesday morning to pray and worship and make plans to keep things ship-shape.
