SPS Kids Summer Update

SPS Kids Summer Update

SPS KIDS has had a busy and exciting summer!

At the end of July 2016, 70 people from SPS, including 15 children and youth, went to Focus at the New Forest. There were great children, youth and student programmes which included: exciting games; including an adventure course with Bear Grylls, activities, crafts and a chance to make new friends! It was a time to learn more about Jesus and grow in relationship with Him. We saw several children commit their lives to Jesus which was amazing!

In August, 13 of our young people went to ‘Soul Survivor’ which is a Christian festival in Somerset. Soul Survivor is a chance to go deeper in your relationship with Jesus, hang out with friends and other young people and get involved in the many fun and sometimes crazy activities!

At the end of August, SPS hosted a summer holiday club for our community called ‘Champions Holiday Club.’ The club was based on the 2016 Olympics in Rio! There were crafts, games, sport races and bible stories. It was so great to have children from our church and local schools attend and get to know each other. The club will take place again next summer in 2017 so stay tuned!
